GFWC Temple Terrace Juniors Woman's Club
Juniorettes, ages 12 – 18, are the youngest members of GFWC Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs. The program for middle and high school girls offers fun, friendship and community service. The girls learn how to organize and operate their non-profit clubs with rewarding results. Many use their Juniorette service hours for scholarships and National Honor Society credits.
The award winning Temple Terrace club work on service projects such as:
-the Dr. Seuss Birthday Party reading program at the public library,
-holiday parties for a special needs Girl Scout troop, -bingo parties at Hope Lodge,
-Relay for Life,
-community-wide Easter Egg Hunt,
-and collecting food for St Vincent de Paul food bank.
Each year the club has its own personality and determines what is most needed in its home community. All share the General Federation of Women’s Club’s (GFWC) Community Service Program guidelines offering activities in Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Outreach and Public Issues.
Not only do club members earn service hours for school requirements, but they also develop leadership skills while having a lot of fun.
The GFWC Temple Terrace Juniorettes are always looking for new members to join the club. Meetings are held at the Woodmont Club house located at 415 Woodmont Avenue every first Monday from October to May and the second Monday in September. 7-8:30pm.
Juniorettes are our future & besides that…they are just plain fun!
