Our 2009 Club

 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
“Sharing Our Gifts and Talents”

I am honored to be a part of such an amazing group of women, each talented and giving in their own ways. The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC) is one of the world’s oldest women’s service organizations. In celebrating over 50 years of service, the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club is proud to serve the community and improve the lives of area residents through numerous hours of community service.

This year’s theme, "Sharing Our Gifts and Talents", was borrowed from former GFWC Florida Federation Director of Junior Clubs, Candi Aubin. I love the sentiment that each of us, in our own unique way, works to make a positive difference in our community and the world.

Temple Terrace Juniors do their part by donating their time and effort to the success of the Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo, Adopt-A-Highway Program, 4th of July Parade, National Night Out, and Candidate Forum. They team up with the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce and local clubs and organizations to help out and be a part of making this tight-knit community the wonderful, unique and very special place that it is.

Fundraising is essential to helping local friends and families through organizations like Shriner’s Hospital and Every Day Blessings as well as those in other countries such as the Heifer Project and Operation Smile. These are just some of the activities and events you will see Temple Terrace Junior Clubmembers earnestly working to make our community and the world a better place.
